About me

presentacion_foto For Raquel Álvarez, creator of "Taller Cascabel", it was destiny which led her to the world of Jewelry Design. At first she opted to study Fine Arts, but on finding a school for jewelry, she changed her mind.
She began her studies in 1997 training as a Jewelry Craftperson, and later completed her training as a gemmologist at the University of Barcelona through the Technical College of Atlantic Jewelry, at which she also studied wax modeling, crimping, rowed necklaces, enamel on fire, and casting.
When designing, she finds inspiration in the stone being worked on and on the sensations of each moment because, for her, impregnating each piece she makes with feeling and spirit is of utmost importance. For Rachel, jewels are not necessarily functional objects for single use, but can be used in various ways and forms: a firm believer in jewelry as an Art form, an Art form that you wear.
